All five checkpoints are mandatory and all riders / pairs did create their own route and order of checkpoints. All checkpoints are dead end roads. Located at some of the most beautiful, remote places of eastern Switzerland. Start and finish: St. Gallen.
People try to avoid dead end roads. And that’s why they are so special! Small rugged roads, roughly carved into the mountains will lead you to the very end of a valley or to the top of an alp. The only reason to go there are stunning sceneries and amazing landscapes! That’s why there’s almost no traffic.
And what’s the best motivation to ride long distances and climb steep roads? Yes – cake!! That’s why all participants will get a piece of fresh cake when arriving at the checkpoints! 🍰
On Friday, Juni 24th at 6 in the morning we will set off at the „Kutscherhaus“ in St.Gallen – our race headquarter for the weekend. A neutralised groupride through the oldtown of St.Gallen will bring us to the old lime tree at Gallusplatz. From there, all riders will swarm out in all possible directions and set off on their own routes.
