Each checkpoint is located at the end of a dead end, somewhere in the mountains of eastern Switzerland.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n                <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n\n\n\n    <div id=\"aid-gb-text-bild-block_26e76d1be6d2ad66f64694c75b1e8da8\" class=\"aid-gb-text-bild\">\n        <div class=\"row ltr\">\n            <div class=\"col-6\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t                    <div class=\"iframe\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.komoot.com\/highlight\/2919336\/embed?gallery=1\" width=\"100%\" height=\"580\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe>                    <\/div>\n\t\t\t\t            <\/div>\n            <div class=\"col-6 text-align\">\n                <div class=\"text\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p><span class=\"c-paragraph__line tw-block tw-break-words css-1u8qly9\">At the very back of the Calfeisental lies Sankt Martin. An almost forgotten little village consisting of a chapel, a water mill and a few 700-year-old wooden houses. Time seems to have stood still here. Thanks to a lot of passion and craftsmanship, the wooden houses have been well preserved to this day.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"c-paragraph__line tw-block tw-break-words css-c3pn73\">Remember: The little road from the Gigerwald reservoir is so narrow that traffic alternates every half hour as follows:<br \/>\n&#8211; full hour until 8 p.m. &gt; direction Sankt Martin,<br \/>\n&#8211; half an hour until 10 p.m. &gt; direction dam,<br \/>\n&#8211; from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m. &gt; free travel.<\/span><span class=\"c-paragraph__line tw-block tw-break-words css-c3pn73\">The checkpoint is in the<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"c-paragraph__line tw-block tw-break-words css-c3pn73\"> The village of Sankt Martin is located directly below the Sardona Tectonic Arena, which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tiny village around the little church from 1312 has an eventful history ( <a class=\"c-link c-link--inverted\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sanktmartin.online\/geschichte\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">sanktmartin.online\/geschichte<\/a>\u00a0). The alpine farm offers the finest regional cuisine and if you want to treat yourself to a long break, you will even find a wellness area with a sauna and hot tub.<\/span><\/p>\n                <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n\n\n\n    <div id=\"aid-gb-text-bild-block_bfa8272f47eeaff5b3e365313ce7091a\" class=\"aid-gb-text-bild\">\n        <div class=\"row rtl\">\n            <div class=\"col-6\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t                    <div class=\"iframe\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.komoot.com\/highlight\/5776825\/embed?gallery=1\" width=\"100%\" height=\"580\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe>                    <\/div>\n\t\t\t\t            <\/div>\n            <div class=\"col-6 text-align\">\n                <div class=\"text\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Kamor (1722 m) is one of the best climbs in the Alpstein. From R\u00fcthi in the Rhine Valley, almost 1300 meters in altitude are climbed over 13 wonderful kilometers. The view gets better and better with every meter gained. Passing small Alps, there are some sections with gravel roads in between. But these are well maintained and the really steep parts are paved.<br \/>\nThe real highlight comes shortly before the summit &#8211; the view over to the Alpstein mountains is overwhelming. On the last few meters of altitude, the somewhat more well-known neighbor of Kamor also shows up &#8211; the Hohe Kasten.<\/p>\n                <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n\n\n\n    <div id=\"aid-gb-text-bild-block_ecd4b6c73f15d2de9d707a32b5949c5a\" class=\"aid-gb-text-bild\">\n        <div class=\"row ltr\">\n            <div class=\"col-6\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t                    <div class=\"iframe\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.komoot.com\/highlight\/6669053\/embed?gallery=1\" width=\"100%\" height=\"580\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe>                    <\/div>\n\t\t\t\t            <\/div>\n            <div class=\"col-6 text-align\">\n                <div class=\"text\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The tiny Maiens\u00e4ss Tegia Cucagna is located above Rueuns \/ Ilanz, isolated on the hillside. The last few meters are unpaved, but that only makes this place even more peaceful and relaxed. With a bit of luck and good timing, the hot tub is heated and invites you to relax. The magnificent view of the surrounding mountains is always there.<br \/>\nThe route to Rueun leads (depending on your planning) through the Ruinaulta &#8211; one of the most beautiful mountain roads through the Rhine Gorge.<\/p>\n                <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n\n\n\n    <div id=\"aid-gb-text-bild-block_1f12aba5577c1e068b508ef3c63b33e6\" class=\"aid-gb-text-bild\">\n        <div class=\"row rtl\">\n            <div class=\"col-6\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t                    <div class=\"iframe\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.komoot.com\/highlight\/2919349\/embed?gallery=1\" width=\"100%\" height=\"580\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe>                    <\/div>\n\t\t\t\t            <\/div>\n            <div class=\"col-6 text-align\">\n                <div class=\"text\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p><span class=\"c-paragraph__line tw-block tw-break-words css-1u8qly9\">The D\u00e4gelsberger Wiesli is quiet and secluded below the D\u00e4gelsberg. At first glance, a somewhat spectacular checkpoint. But the T\u00f6sstal has many a surprise in store. Countless narrow streets, paths and trails run through the wild forests. With a bit of luck you will see chamois, wood grouse, golden eagles or even a lynx!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"c-paragraph__line tw-block tw-break-words css-c3pn73\">The well-deserved cake is available in the rustic, small D\u00e4gelsbergh\u00fctte. This is a very rustically furnished mountain hut with fresh spring water, but no electricity. There is a public fireplace right next to the hut. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"c-paragraph__line tw-block tw-break-words css-c3pn73\">Be careful when choosing a route &#8211; some paths are extremely steep!! The driveway from Steg is paved up to the \u201cSennh\u00fctte\u201d restaurant, then an easy-to-ride forest road (also for roadbikes).<\/span><\/p>\n                <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n\n\n\n    <div id=\"aid-gb-text-bild-block_60134aeaea23b7485f3872d076fd1828\" class=\"aid-gb-text-bild\">\n        <div class=\"row ltr\">\n            <div class=\"col-6\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t                    <div class=\"iframe\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.komoot.com\/highlight\/6669160\/embed?gallery=1\" width=\"100%\" height=\"580\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe>                    <\/div>\n\t\t\t\t            <\/div>\n            <div class=\"col-6 text-align\">\n                <div class=\"text\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Checkpoint Tguma is actually almost identical to our previous highlight Alp Nurdagn. This year, just without the last gravel section to the alpine hut. The climb into the Beverin National Park is one of the most beautiful things the Swiss mountain landscape has to offer. But remember &#8211; here you are exposed to the weather and cold temperatures at night!
